Clow Canada donates $12,000 to Romero House Soup Kitchen

Clow Canada staff and members of Local 835 IAM raised $6,000.00 for the Romero House Soup Kitchen in Saint John, New Brunswick Canada and the company matched the donation dollar for dollar which doubled the donation to $12,000.00. The entire Saint John team worked together to come up with creative ways to raise money throughout the year including selling recyclable bottles, cans and scrap wood and making generous donations.

Unfortunately, Saint John has the highest child poverty rate in Canada and only strong community support can fix this problem. Romero House operates a soup kitchen that provides over 500 meals per day to those in need. They also have a clothing bank, emergency family assistance, outreach program, chapel, health care room, life skills support and a mobile unit that travels around the city at night giving out coffee and sandwiches to the homeless.

Clow Canada remains committed to the Saint John community and has been proud to support the Romero House for 12 years and has raised over $80,000.00.
